Creator notes
# SpiritLinks **MMO-style "ghost run" death flow for Minecraft.** Die, become a ghost, follow a clear death marker back, revive safely. Full inventory snapshot restore. No item loss. No despawn panic. --- ## Why SpiritLinks? Minecraft's default death system is punishing — items scatter, XP vanishes, and if you die in lava or far from home, everything is gone. SpiritLinks replaces that with a guided recovery loop inspired by MMOs like World of Warcraft: - Death is a **recoverable journey** , not permanent loss - No more losing gear to lava, despawn timers, or chaotic corpse runs - A consistent, predictable death/revive flow for survival servers - Works for both casual and hardcore players (costs are configurable) --- ## How It Works ### When You Die 1. Your full inventory, armor, offhand, Curios items, and XP are **snapshotted** and stored safely 2. Items do NOT drop on the ground — they're held in the snapshot 3. You respawn as a **ghost** with flight, invisibility, and a glowing outline 4. A dark vignette overlay and "You are a ghost..." text appear on screen 5. A **death marker** on your HUD shows the direction and distance to where you died 6. **Breadcrumb particles** (END_ROD)
